Katherine has both an MBA in Entertainment Business and BA in English. With both a creative and business education, she is perfectly suited for a career in the entertainment field, having first studied the basics of story and genre for literature, theatre, and film during her undergraduate degree, and later in her graduate degree covering areas such as corporate strategy, business strategy, finance, accounting, operations, marketing/PR, but also studying more discrete topics such as copyright law, intellectual property law, trademark law, standard entertainment contracts/agreements, domestic and international media distribution, financing methods for film/tv, marketing and PR tactics for film/tv, VFX/animation, story development, script structure, production management, and ancillary streams of revenue such as themed entertainment, interactive entertainment and merchandising.

Katherine has attended three major international film festivals including TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) and Berlin Film Festival/European Film Market, which inspired her to track international developments in film and television. She has also written 200+ articles about the entertainment industry, that have been published on multiple sites.
